As a leading advocate of theatre for children and families for the past 50+ years, Theatre for Young Audiences/USA needs its website to work as hard as it does to enrich the field and help support its members. Makeworks had been working with TYA/USA for years to fine-tune its brand, so designing and building a new website felt like an extension of that effort. With a treasure trove of beautiful production photography and decades of content and resources at our disposal, the challenge was really just to organize everything into a user-friendly interface and build a platform that allowed the organization’s limited staff to manage the content, effectively showcase its great resources, e.g., news, trends, jobs, etc., and find ways to take advantage of the medium to engage users with interactive events and programming.
